The Covidsituation in Øksnes Monday 26.07.2021
On monday 26.07.21 there was 8 new Covid infected persons in Øksnes kommune, and we now have a total of 31 coronavirus cases. Origin and ways the virus has spread are not known for all these cases, but we presume that also these cases are in relation to the ongoing outbreak in Sortland kommune. All the infected persons are in isolation, and their closest contacts are in quarantine.
Infection tracing and testing is still going on, until we have a full overview of the situation and ways the virus has spread. We expect more infected persons in Øksnes the next days.
The Covid outbreak in Vesterålen is still considered as comprehensive, and we strongly encourage all inhabitants and visitors in Øksnes to be careful, keep 2 meters distance from others, have a good hand-hygiene and use a face mask in places with many people.
We kindly ask everyone to help us beat down the infection.
